
As of November 16, 2007, the 2000 Census figures and KidsCount maintains its alarming reports that 46.2% of African American children still continue to live in single parent families. These same households are said to be the ones that produce the types of youth who are most likely to have emotional or behavioral problems, use illegal drugs, and or alcohol, be physically abused or neglected, in addition to, committing crimes which require incarceration.
